DASTAK, Dr. Ambedkar Society for Thoughts, Actions and Consciousness was established in 1999 and registered in 2000 under Society Act. DASTAK is also registered under 80G of Income Tax and donations to the society are exempted from Income Tax.

It was formed on the evocation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the social reformer and democratic founder of Independent India giving the slogan, “Educate, Unite and Agitate“. Since then the society has been working for all-round upliftment of the poor and needy people of the society in the fields of Education, Health and Prosperity.

At the time of establishment of the society there were only 11 members including 5 Office Bearers and 6 Executive Members. In the journey of last 24+ years there are now 5 Office Bearers, 10 Executive Members, 25 Active Members and 10 Members in the Society. A lot of persons as donors and organizations have associated with us and we are serving the society with full dedication and actions.

We are running a Library, Free Coaching Centre, Free Computer Centre and organize Career Counselings, Educational Tours, Health Check-up camps, Cricket Tournaments, Seminars on various social issues and Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti, Recently we have started Dr. Ambedkar Lecture Series on Indian Constitution Day i.e. 26th November.

All the above projects are being run with the financial help of our well-wishers and donors. You can also strengthen our hands and encourage our morale by donating a minimum amount of Rs. 500/= (Rupees Five Hundred Only) or Rs. 1,200/= (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Only) per annum i.e. Rs. 100/- per month only. Donations to the Society are exempt under section 80G of Income Tax.
