DASTAK, Dr. Ambedkar Society for Thoughts, Actions and Consciousness was established in 1999 and registered in 2000 under patronship of Shri O.P. Kohli Ji, the then Member of Parliament and later Governor of Gujarat under Society Act. DASTAK is also registered under 12 A and 80G of Income Tax, CSR-I and DARPAN. Donations to the society are exempted from Income Tax.

It was formed on the evocation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the social reformer and democratic founder of Independent India giving the slogan, “Educate, Unite and Agitate“. Since then the society has been working for all-round upliftment of the poor and needy people of the society in the fields of Education, Health and Prosperity.

At the time of establishment of the society there were only 11 members including 5 Office Bearers and 6 Executive Members. In the journey of last 25+ years there are now 5 Office Bearers, 10 Executive Members, 25 Active Members and 10 Members in the Society. A lot of persons as donors and organizations.
